The Unreal Check24
“Earlier this year, someone told me, ‘If there’s one car event not to miss, it’s Checkeditout.’ After experiencing it firsthand, I understand completely,” Detroit-based filmmaker, photographer, and CIO first-timer Noah Hudson-Peralta says. “And driving my Porsche 996 through Chicago for the first time was unreal.”
Curating an ‘unreal’ Porsche experience in Chicago is the Checkeditout ethos. Pulling it off requires keen attention to detail. As CIO’s architect in-residence, Dan Cubric says, ‘the drone footage doesn’t lie,’ one car improperly placed will stick out. So, he works on car arrangement for months before the event. That combination of passion and dedication is there in everyone who makes Checkeditout possible-CIO staff, volunteers, partners, filmmakers, photographers, and every driver who puts so much of themselves in their Porsche. All of this is on clear display in Ryan Duffy’s Check24 film, lovingly assembled with help from Chad Ackerman and Adam Hurlburt.
What’s Your Porsche Story?
Stories bring people together. Porsche stories bring Porsche people together. Film maker Ryan Duffy and CIO team scribe Adam Hurlburt spent their Check23 asking Checkeditout patrons, supporters, and friends, "why Porsche?" and what keeps them coming to the Chicago Porsche Convergence.
Checkeditout the Block Party
Checkeditout is a Chicago block party that just happens to revolve around Porsches—hundreds of them parked in the inner city, sharing space with local commissioned art, a live DJ, and some of the best restaurants and bars. Checkeditout is all of this, but mostly it’s about the community and a shared passion for the sportscars that bring us together. BMP Film Co. captured the CIO spirit at #Check23 on Saturday, Aug. 26 with the support of
Napelton Westmont Porsche and Porsche Downtown Chicago.
The Interviews
Checkeditout should be viewed as a Chicago style street fest. Part party, all community. The cars bring us together, our connections keep us coming back. Let's catch up with some CIO regulars as well as some first time folks:
Michael, Kirsten, Jeff, Ginash, Ryan, Crystal, Chris (aka Doktor B), and Lewis.
